We discussed our favourite traitor games in the last podcast episode and now it came to the Royals’ attention that someone on the geek created a quite interesting re-theme of the fabulous The Resistance, which happens to be Karl’s favourite traitor game.

The re-theme is all about the cool TV series Mad Men and comes with new artwork on the cards and all sorts of other goodies such as a different starting player token and instead of missions, your are fighting over contracts.

Now, one might ask why this particular re-theme, that does not even change the game mechanics should be of much interested to anyone else but hard-boiled fans of the TV series, let alone those who are already fans of The Resistance.

But think about it, a Mad Men themed Resistance is a superb party game and gateway game for non-gamers, especially those who are familiar with the TV series or are working in office / business environment themselves. There is no need to explain to you how hard it can be to convince colleagues or non-gamers to play a game about spies in a sci-fi setting. Yet, a game set in an advertising agency in the 60ies, with jazzy dudes and foxy cats ? Sign me up !

So, if you want to turn your copy of The Resistance into a gateway game, this is your chance . . .
